For example, I post Craig's List ads under Skilled Trade Services category for Fashion Floors by Bob. And I post under the Computer category for Wuzzy's PC Repair.
Click on various posts that could be your "competition" to get a feel for the professionalism and content of the ads.
Next, create a Craig's List account (if you don't already have one) and write your first post!
Things to know about Craig's List:

You can post anonymously and still receive responses.

post after you in your same category, your post gets pushed
lower in the list. So, post often to remain higher in the search
results ... but no more than every 48
hours in order to comply with Craig's List guidelines.

Your post will expire in a maximum of 45 days, sometimes sooner,
and be removed from their database. Whenever you wish, you can sign into your account and
edit or delete your posts.
